Prof. Raviya elaborated on the vision and objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, stressing its focus on flexibility, multidisciplinary learning, and holistic student development. Citing ancient Indian universities and the concept of 64 kalaas (arts), he underlined the need to integrate traditional knowledge systems with contemporary education.

He also highlighted NEP 2020’s thrust on regional languages and literatures, including Kashmiri, through translation and curricular inclusion. Dispelling misconceptions, he clarified that the policy does not promote the imposition of Hindi or any single language but seeks to encourage linguistic diversity.
