CRPF organises medical camp at Handwara

Kupwara, Feb 27: CRPF’s 162 Battalion Tuesday organised a free medical camp at Government Girls Middle School Banday Mohalla Handwara. The camp was inaugurated by Second in Command P K Lal.

Ex Municipal Committee Chairman Handwara Masroor Ahmad Banday, Assistant Commandant Abhishek Yadav, Assistant Commandant R K Malik, social activist Towseef Ahmad War and other officers and dignitaries graced the occasion by their presence.

The medical camp was organised in consonance with the ongoing peace process by security forces across Kashmir valley.

A team of specialists of the CRPF and civil doctors rendered their services to over 200 patients including men, women and children. These patients had come from different nearby villages for treatment. Free medicines were also distributed among people.

People of the area have hailed the efforts of CRPF and hoped of such camps in future also. On the occasion Second in Command PK Lal of 162 Battalion remarked that CRPF always stood for peace, prosperity and development of the society.

“The aim of such programmes is to develop good relations with locals and also help them in difficult times. It is a continuous process and 162 Battalion is periodically conducting community outreach programmes in one or other way. In the past also such free medical camps were organised in Kupwara district,” he added.

He said that they will continue to conduct such civic programmes for the benefit of the local public in future.
