CRPF Inter-ops battalion Hockey tournament concludes

Srinagar, Dec 4: The Srinagar Sector CRPF Inter-Ops Battalion/GC Hockey Tournament 2024 reached its dramatic conclusion today at the Synthetic Hockey Field, Polo Ground, with 25 Battalion emerging as champions.

Organised by 132 Battalion CRPF in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, the three-day tournament featured 20 CRPF formation teams competing intensely. In a nail-biting final, 25 Battalion narrowly defeated 82 Battalion 2-1, with 23 Battalion securing third place.

DK Singh, DIG of Srinagar Sector CRPF, was the chief guest who presented trophies to the winners and runners-up. He emphasized the tournament’s significance in highlighting personnel’s dedication, resilience, and unity.

Senior CRPF and J&K Police officers, Hockey J&K President, and Sports Council officials attended the closing ceremony, adding prestige to the event. The tournament aimed to promote hockey, foster sportsmanship, and provide a platform for talent development among CRPF personnel.

The organising committee expressed gratitude to participants, supporters, and the J&K Sports Council for ensuring the event’s success.
