CRPF 53 BN Baramulla organises free medical support
Baramulla, Jun 25: As part of its Civic Action Programme (CAP), the 53 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Wednesday organised a free medical camp at Government High School Jehama in Baramulla district.
During the camp the CRPF extended vital health care support to residents of the area and its adjoining villages. The camp, held under CRPFís ëMadadgaarí scheme, witnessed participation from hundreds of villagers, including elderly persons, women, and children.
A total of 317 patients were examined for various ailments and provided with free medical consultations and medicines by the CRPFís in-house team of doctors.
The outreach programme is part of a broader movement started by the 53 BN CRPF to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility for underserved populations across Baramulla.
Under this initiative, the 53BN CRPF has been reaching out to remote areas to offer on-ground medical assistance and instant care to people in need.
Commandant S K Sharma and Second-in-Command of 53 BN Indranil Dutta were present during the camp.
The medical camp was organised under the supervision of Assistant Commandant Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Company Commander of D/53.
Medical services were provided by Dr. Ajay Meena and Dr. Ather Siddique of the CRPF 53BN medical unit. The initiative received an overwhelmingly positive response from the local population.
The residents of Jehama and neighbouring villages expressed their gratitude to the CRPF for providing health care support to them at their doorsteps.
"Such initiatives help strengthen the bond between security forces and civilians and meet pressing community needs that often go unaddressed in rural pockets," the locals said. An official of the 53 BN CRPF said that similar camps will continue to be organised in other parts of the district under the civic action programme.
