Crime, security review meeting conducted in Handwara

Srinagar, Nov 1: SSP Handwara, Ifroz Ahmad, chaired a crime and security review meeting at the conference hall of the District Police Office in Handwara.

The meeting was attended by the senior police officer of DPO Handwara, the SHOs of PS Handwara, PS Kralgund, PS Qalamabad, and the Incharge of PP Zachaldara.

Addressing the officers, SSP Handwara emphasised that investigation officers, SHOs, and supervisory officers must take all necessary measures to improve the investigation and resolution of cases. He directed them to enhance the quality of investigations and case disposals and stressed the need to adopt the latest techniques and standard operating procedures to achieve better results in the investigative process.

SSP Handwara further reiterated the importance of strengthening the counter-insurgency and security framework within their respective jurisdictions to create a peaceful and incident-free atmosphere. Officers were instructed to take stringent action against those involved in anti-social and anti-national activities.

The SHOs were also directed to focus on human intelligence, area domination, and the attachment of property derived from narcotics and militancy. Additionally, SHOs were tasked with ensuring the safety and security of non-local labourers and employees, maintaining close vigilance in this regard.

All participants were instructed to concentrate on the issues discussed during the meeting.
