Cricket action heats up at POWERGRID tournament
Srinagar, Dec 15: The second day of the POWERGRID Inter Regional Cricket Tournament 2024 delivered intense matches across three grounds, with teams battling for supremacy and semifinal spots. Northern Region-II emerged as the tournament's early frontrunner, becoming the first team to secure a semifinal berth with a commanding victory over Northeastern Region.
Vinod Atri was the standout performer for NR-II, delivering a match-winning performance by taking 4 wickets for just 21 runs. The day's other matches were equally thrilling, with Northern Region-III defeating Western Region-I by 37 runs, Central Command trouncing Southern Region-II by 75 runs, and Eastern Region-II narrowly overcoming Southern Region-I.
