Crack down on rash driving: Police seize 35 vehicles in Baramulla
Srinagar, Oct 19: In order to curb traffic violations and to ensure road safety for law-abiding citizens, police in Baramulla seized 35 vehicles besides, booked 58 violators for rash and negligent driving.
The comprehensive drive was launched on the direction of SSP Baramulla Mohammad Zaid Malik.
During the drive, 35 vehicles (tippers and dumpers) involved in rash driving and driving without documents were confiscated. Moreover, 58 violators were booked for rash and negligent driving as well as driving without documents.
Subsequently, cases under relevant sections of law were registered against them at concerned police stations.
The police action is part of a broader effort to tackle persistent traffic violations. By registering cases under relevant sections of law and conducting investigations, Police seeks to deter future violators.
