Counting staff imparted training in Shopian
Shopian, Oct 3: The District Election Office, Shopian, today conducted a day-long training program for Counting Supervisors, Counting Assistants, and Micro-Observers at the Mini Secretariat Shopian. The training aimed to prepare them for the smooth conduct of the vote counting on October 08, in accordance with ECI guidelines.
District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, presided over the training and witnessed a session provided by the Returning Officer (RO) of Shopian and Master Trainers.
District Level Master Trainers conducted detailed training sessions to prepare skilled and competent personnel for the counting of votes in the two Assembly Constituencies of Zainapora and Shopian.
Throughout the day-long training sessions, participants received procedural guidance for the smooth execution of the counting process, including practical demonstrations on handling EVMs and counting procedures.
Returning Officer Shakoor Ahmad, during his session, stressed the importance of strictly adhering to the rules and procedures of the Election Commission of India (ECI) throughout the entire process.
The DEO addressed the staff, calling for strict adherence to the rules and procedures during the counting process while performing their duties with integrity and fairness. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring complete privacy on the day of counting.
