Selection is not the worry, failure is not end of the world but non adherence of established standards in a competition is remorse. Unemployment has been the most pressing challenges for youth. Any sort of recruitment process becomes a ray of hope – seems half of the goal achieved for thousands entangled between their degrees and the stability of their future.

While healthcare system is being enhanced through various initiatives, the private players including some renowned corporate hospitals of the country have been foraying into the Valley, to bridge gaps in J&K’s healthcare.

With the active support of the government, the largest private healthcare initiative in Kashmir set to begin operations with the opening of a Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital at Sempora in Srinagar, foundation stone laid by the Government last year, with more than five hundred crore worth, would provide employment opportunities to 2,000 people, as per sources.

An overwhelming response to institute’s recent advertisement dated:05-09-2025 inviting applications from the eligible candidates (Walk-in Interview) for the posts of Junior Residents, Paramedics and other administrative staff.

The hiring process though widely publicized through newspaper but ambiguous with regard to number of posts being hired; sans proper Written Examination.

Reminds us of the government’s initiatives from time to time vis a vis abolishing of interviews or orals at Government level, aimed at increasing efficiency and transparency, ensure merit-based selections.

There is no denial of the fact that government from time to time had a clear stance that all youth cannot be adjusted in government jobs. As such the second home for these qualified youth should be the corporate and other private giants.

Ensure that qualified professionals who do not make it to the government sector go through a proper selection process at the corporate level jobs at par; with written examination as the foremost criteria in light of the established government rules. Corporate should cater to the recruitment needs of the government in fair manner.

The growing importance of corporate sectors in the valley, inter alia calls for greater regulations. Interventionist roles need to be played by the government to ensure proper corporate governance by way of setting labour standards.
