Constitution of Chairmen panel, obituary references to mark inaugural day

Jammu, Mar 2: The constitution of the Panel of Chairmen and obituary references will be in the list of main business to be transacted on the inaugural day of the maiden budget session of J&K UT, following the Lieutenant Governor’s Address on Monday.

The session will commence with the LG’s address at 10 am.

Half an hour after his address, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather, as per the list of business released by the LA secretariat, will report and lay on the table the copy of the address to be delivered to the members of the House (MLAs).

Following that, the Speaker would announce the names of the Panel of Chairmen.

The last business of the day will be obituary references wherein tributes will be paid to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh; former minister Syed Ghulam Hussain Geelani, former MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and two former members of the House Ghulam Hassan Parrey and Choudhary Piara Singh.
