Srinagar, Nov 26 : Congress Working Committee (CWC) Member and former JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir today said that his party will form the government in Telangana.
According to a press note, he was addressing election rallies in Jubilee Hills assembly segment of Hyderabad in Telangana. Mir was flanked by Congress candidate Mohammad Azharuddin and other senior leaders of AICC and PCC (Telangana)
“People of Telangana want a change while having decided to replace BRS government, which has only made promises and looted public money to enjoy luxurious life. The misleading politics of BRS, BJP and others shall neither work nor will divert public attention from real issues,” Mir said.
Mir refreshed the memories of Congress Party’s significant move to grant statehood to Telangana to ensure their equitable development of people, at the same time. The CWC member made a fervent appeal across the board to ensure victory of Congress with a thumping majority, as that, Congress alone has the capability to serve people and ensure sustained development of Telangana State, which has witnessed darkest era under BRS rule in state and BJP rule at centre.
Mir said Telangana people want change and have decided to throw BRS government out of power, as that, it (BRS) has only made promises and looted public money to enjoy luxurious life. “People want to get rid of misrule and mismanagement. The state is going to have a Congress Govt very Soon, that will ensure equitable development, prosperity, economic stability, employment generation, upliftment of the poor and downtrodden section,” Mir assured the public.
On this occasion, Mir cautioned about the designs of various regional parties, who are secretly supporting BJP, but Telangana public will expose them in upcoming elections and make them answerable for playing with their sentiments, he added.
Prior to the election rallies, CWC Member had a detailed discussion on various matters pertaining to elections with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
