Congress to stage protest for statehood restoration in Jammu

Jammu, Mar 22: To press for the restoration of statehood, Congress has decided to hold a protest march from Vikas Lane Talab Tillo, Jammu, on Monday evening.

A statement of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) issued here said that the JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra would lead the march to press for the demand for restoration of statehood besides seeking redressal of various issues being faced by the people including power, water, ration.

The statement said that these issues would be highlighted for the attention of the government besides the issues of regularisation of daily wagers, need-based, temporary, adhoc contractual, consolidated and other such categories of workers.
