Congress to fight for protection of jobs, land of J&K: G A Mir

Anantnag, Dec 18 :  Senior Congress leader G A Mir today said that his party  will fight for the  protection of jobs, land and natural resources of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a press release, he was addressing a party workers’ meeting at Omoh in Verinag. Mir alleged that BJP  government wants to snatch everything after developing a fake narrative with regard to development and  employment.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and former J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President said that Congress party will not  remain silent on people’s aspirations especially protection of land, jobs and natural resources of J&K. “ These are the prime target of BJP government  to dis-empower people for the lust of power, besides misleading people in rest of the country after abrogation of Art 370 and subsequent downgrading of J&K into two UTs,” the Congress leader said.

Mir recalled the historical role played by the Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi , first Prime Minister Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru alongwith great stalwarts Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr B R Ambedkar,  Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and others  in the  integration  of  Jammu and Kashmir  with the Union of India .
