Congress protests continue in Jammu
Jammu, Dec 25: Continuing its protests, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) leaders and activists Wednesday held a demonstration near the Police Station Janipur in the Jammu North assembly segment.
The protesters were led by Hari Singh Chib, vice president of JKPCC.
Congress is holding countrywide protests against Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks on the Father of Indian constitution Dr B R Ambedkar during a debate on the Constitution in the Rajya Sabha.
“Dr Ambedkar’s contributions to shaping modern India and empowering marginalized sections of society remain unparalleled,” Chib asserted, while addressing the gathering.
JKPCC vice president also urged people across Jammu and Kashmir to join the Congress in defending the dignity of national icons and preserving the values enshrined in the Constitution.
