Congress holds protest in Rajouri

Rajouri, Aug 2: Congress party leaders and workers held a protest demonstration against the government accusing it of failure on all fronts.

The party workers and leaders including senior leaders, youth activists, and women cadre headed by Congress President and dormer Minister Shabir Ahmed Khan held the protest demonstration and also took out  a protest rally.

They said that government has failed on all fronts and inflation is rising with each passing day and unemployment is on peak.  They said that J&K Lieutenant Governor has been empowered to demine democratic setup in Jammu and Kashmir.

The protesters also demanded for restoration of statehood in J&K to immediately hold polls.

After staging protest at Bela Bridge, the party leaders attempted to take out a protest rally in city area which, however, was disallowed by police and many Congress leaders including District President Shabir Ahmed Khan were detained.
