Congress expels leader for going 'against spirit of alliance'

Srinagar, Sep 05: Congress on Thursday expelled its leader from the basic membership of the party.

In a statement the JKPCC Spokesperson declared that the party has expelled Ch Gulzar Khatana from the basic membership of the party, with immediate effect.

He said Khatana has filed nomination papers from 42-Kokernag(ST) assembly segment “as Independent candidate” against the spirit of alliance. JKPCC Spokesperson emphasised that the party would not tolerate any breach of alliance unity.
