Congress discusses organisational matters at Pampore
Srinagar, Nov 18 : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Saturday held a workers’ meeting at Pampore in Pulwama district to discuss organisational matters and various other issues confronting the party, a press release said.
JKPCC President Vikar Raool Wani presided over the meeting. He urged upon the party workers to continue working with dedication to further strengthen the party and remain steadfast to serve people to the best of their ability.
“Congress will emerge stronger given its pro people policies and the struggle to safeguard public rights, which are under assault under BJP rule. Wrong policies of BJP are responsible for the chaos and miseries confronting the public while pushing them towards darkness,”he said.
Wani added that Congress shall not compromise on its stated position of unifying people and working towards their progress and prosperity. The party is fully capable of defeating the designs of BJP and its offshoots, who are working in J&K against the aspirations of the people to benefit BJP politically. “ But that is not going to happen, as they stand fully exposed before the public,”he said
JKPCC senior vice president also addressed the meeting and told the workers that they should start mass contact in their respective areas and highlight public issues for their resolution.
Mahila Congress President Shameema Raina, DCC President Ghulam Qadir, PCC functionaries including general secretaries and secretaries also addressed the meeting.
