Congress announces candidates for 2nd phase of polls; JKPCC chief Karra to contest from Central Shalteng

Srinagar, Sep 02: The Central Election Committee of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Monday announced its list of candidates, contesting phase-II of Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir.

The list which was approved by AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal stated that JKPCC chief Tariq Hameed Karra will contest elections from 26-Shalteng Assembly segment.

“Tariq Hameed Karra, 26-Shalteng; Mumtaz Khan, 57-Reasi; Bhupender Jamwal, 58-Shri Mata Vasihno Devi; Iftikhar Ahmed, 85-Rajouri (ST); Shabir Ahmad Khan, 87-Thannamandi (ST); and Mohd Shahnawaz Choudhary, 88-Surankote (ST), the list stated.
