Conference on Indian ethos in English writings culminates
Ganderbal, Oct 25: The second day of the two-day national conference on "Indian Ethos in English Writings (IEEW2024)" was organised by the Department of English, School of Languages, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) in a hybrid mode.
Engaging paper presentations, thought-provoking discussions, and insightful plenary talks were delivered by Prof Vandana Sharma, Dean of the School of Languages at the Central University of Jammu, and Prof Nibedita Mukerji, Professor in the Department of English at Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia, WB, India.
There were 54 paper presentations across two slots, with three parallel technical sessions chaired by professors from various government universities in different states of India.
The conference culminated with a valedictory session graced by Prof. Shugufta Shaheen, Professor of English and OSD to the Vice Chancellor at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad. Conference chairperson Prof Sandhya Tiwari presented a report detailing the papers, quality, outcomes, and proposed next steps.
