Condolence meeting held to remember Journalist Nisar Peerzada

Srinagar, Jan 17: A condolence meeting was organised under the auspices of “Voice of Weekly Kashmir” on the demise of senior journalist, a respected voice of Urdu journalism, and Editor-in-Chief of the weekly Kashmir Traveller, Nisar Peerzada.

The meeting was presided over by the organization’s Coordinator, Shakeel Azad. During the meeting, the journalistic services of the late Nisar Peerzada were remembered in detail, said a press release. Speakers described him as a dignified, cheerful, courageous, and resolute journalistic personality who always stood firmly with the truth. They stated that the late journalist regarded journalism not merely as a profession but as a sacred duty, and throughout his life he set an example of truthfulness, integrity, and principled conduct.

The participants emphasized that Nisar Peerzada was a strong pillar of Urdu journalism who upheld the sanctity of the pen even in the most challenging circumstances.
