Ganderbal, Nov 18: The teaching, non-teaching staff, and students of Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal Monday expressed heartfelt condolences to Prof Aijaz Ahmad Qureshi, senior Assistant Professor of the college over the demise of his father Prof Abdul Wahid Qureshi, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir (KU) and Central University of Kashmir (CUK), who passed away here Sunday.

A condolence meeting was held in the conference hall of the college in which all the staff members and students of various semesters of the college participated.

Principal of the college, Prof Fouzia Fatima conveyed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family.

The principal described Prof Qureshi as a visionary academic leader who not only excelled in his field but also motivated others to strive for excellence.
