Communist Party of India (Marxist) mourns passing of Dr Manmohan Singh

Srinagar, Dec 27: The Polit Bureau of Communist Party of India (Marxist) today expressed grief over passing of former Prime Minister and distinguished economist, Dr Manmohan Singh.

The party in a statement said that Dr Manmohan Singh during his ten-year tenure as Prime Minister stood firmly for secular and democratic values. He adopted policies which he believed were in the interests of the country. He was a leader of unquestioned integrity.

The party conveyed its heartfelt condolence to his wife Gursharan Kaur, and his daughters.
