Ganderbal, Feb 25: Former legislator and Presidentof newly floated political party , “Jammu and Kashmir United Movement”' , Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar on Sunday said that he is committed to continue the work done by his father Sheikh Abdul Jabbar.

He was addressing his party workers at Chattergul area of Kangan here. " I am committed to carry forward my father's vision for the betterment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I will work tirelessly to address the challenges faced by people,”he added.

Ishfaq said that the politics of change has arrived in Ganderbal district. " Gone are the days when the people of district Ganderbal were used as cannon fodder to protect the political career of outside leaders. We are now prepared to confront those who want to stall the developmental progress in Ganderbal district," Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar said. Taking a dig at the traditional political parties JKUM Party president Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar accused both these parties of prioritising power over public interests.
