Commemoration function of noted social activist Tak Zaingiri organised on his 35th death anniversary
Chadoora, July 24: Glowing tributes were paid to noted philanthropist, poet and researcher and founder of Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust late Abdul Khaliq Tak Zaingiri at his 35th death anniversary at a function held at Banat Institute of Education, Gopalpora, Chadoora .
The function was organised by Kashmir Concern Foundation (KCF) headed by noted social activist Adv. Ab Rashid Hanjura.
Zahoor Ahmad Tak , Chairman Banat Institute of Education ,who runs the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust after demise of his father Abdul Khaliq Tak Zainagiri , President Adbi Markaz Kamraz , Mohd Amin Bhat , Chairman Ahata Waqar Chanapora, Ab Gani Parray , noted writer Shamshad Kralwari , veteran journalist Nazim Nazir shared the presidium .
Adv Ab Rasid Hanjura presented a welcome address and thanked the audience including a galaxy of writers , poets , social activists and students of the Banat Institute of Education for participating in the function .
He urged the younger generation to promote mother tongue for preserving "our identity and legacy." He paid rich tributes to Late Tak Zaingiri and highlighted his contribution in socio - cultural awakening of the society and selfless service to humanity. . He urged the people, especially youth, to carry forward the legacy of Tak to serve humanity.
He also highlighted his literary works especially his book “ Kashur Allaqa Wad Phera ” and flagged the necessity to reprint the book.
Zahoor Ahmad Tak also spoke on the occasion and said that late Tak Zaingiri laid the foundation of one of the biggest and most reputed Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust in 1963 which continues to heal up wounds and miseries of thousands of widows and orphans since the last 64 years .
After rendering tremendous valuable service to downtrodden sections of the society especially widows, orphans and destitute , Tak Zainagiri left this world on 24th of July 1989 . He said late Tak zanagiri was a multifaceted personality - a social activist and a prominent writer and said the best way to pay homage to Tak would be to carry forward his socio- cultural legacy.
Nazim Nazir , senior correspondent urdu daily newspaper Tameel Irshad , Mohd Amin Bhat also paid tribute to late Tak Zainagiri and lauded the efforts of Ab Rashid Hanjura his -son in law for carrying forward his legacy to nurture orphans and widows with vigor and passion under the banner of Islamic Relief and Research .They enjoined upon the students to promote and preserve their mother tongue and cultural heritage.
On this occasion, Tak Zainagiri awards were given to prominent writers including Dr Sohan koul and Inayat Gul. Likewise , Hasrat Hameed was accorded Shamafaqeer award , Zareena Baji, Habakhatoon award , Ab Ahad Gulshan, Sheikh Ul Alam Award. Dr Bashir Gamgeen- Ab Ahad Azad Award and Late Haji Gh Rasool Hur - Maqbool Shah Kralwari award .
Journalists who were bestowd awards included Nazim Nazeer Editor of newspaper Tameel Irshad , Sofi Sajad ,Meraj Din Srinagar times ,Ashiq Maqbool.
On this occasion five new poetic collections including Shihij Boonie of Naem Kashmiri ,Cheshma Irfaan of Late Gias ud Din Gias of Rupwan , Partavi Iqbal and Khoeni Lalanavem Khushguftaar of Assad ullah Assad , Aamadi Bahaar of Dr Bashir Ahmad Gamgeen were also released.
An impressive Hussaini Mehfi-l-Mushaira was also held on the occasion which was attended by a galaxy of prominent poets. The poets who presented their poems in honour of Hazrat Imam Hussain(RA) included Muneer Sarai Bali , Inayat Gul , Mushtaq Mehram , Ali Ahsan ,Mohd Yaseen Madhosh , Nazir Salik ,Ab Rehman Lateef ,Naem Kashmiri ,Mehda Mir , Dr Bashir Ahmad Gamgeen ,Yaseen Darigami , Reyaz Ahmad shah, Peer Mohi ud din Borwa ,Mubarak, Ah Mubarak ,Zareena Gazi, ,Gh Mohd Shiekh ,Gh Nabi Adfar ,Dr Wahid Raza and syed Farhat .
The students of the Banat Education Institute also presented a colourful cultural programme on the occasion. Dr Waheed Raza conducted the proceedings of the function .
