“Amid potholes and dug-up roads, defunct streetlights are taking a toll on us. These streetlights are not being repaired or replaced. At several spots, there is absence of streetlights. We are having a tough time navigating amid darkness,” said Manzoor Ahmad, a local from the area.

“Dogs are on prowl in the area, and amid darkness, it gets difficult to move out. Locals face problems visiting masjids in the evening amid darkness in the streets. We hope that before the holy month of Ramadhan, streetlights will be restored,” said another local.
