Srinagar, Oct 28: Srinagar Police on Tuesday said that collective fight against drug menace is inevitable to save youth from its ill effects.

This was stated by senior police officers during drug de-addiction awareness programme at Vishwa Bharti College, Rainawari here in Srinagar. The title of the seminar was “Say No to Drugs, and Yes to Life”.

The event was attended by Principal Vishwa Bharti College as Chief Guest, and Dr. Muzaffar Ahmad Khan, Resource Person from Drug De-addiction Centre Srinagar, as Guest of Honour. SP City North Srinagar SDPO Khanyar, SHO Rainawari and SHO Nowhata were also present at the said event.

While addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the ill effects of drug abuse and emphasized the need for collective responsibility to eradicate this social evil. They urged the youth to stay away from drugs and channel their energies towards productive and healthy pursuits.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students and faculty of the college. Moreover, students presented informative and creative content on the theme.

During the event, the best performers were felicitated with cash prizes, mementos, and certificates as a token of appreciation for their participation.
