CO IRP 11 Bn holds grievance redressal camp of jawans, officers
Anantnag, Dec 28: Sandeep Mehta, SSP and Commanding Officer of IRP 11-th Battalion conducted a grievance redressal camp of the jawans/officers (Darbar) of the A/F Coys. at the company headquarters near Police Station Anantnag.
Attending to the genuine grievances voiced by the personnel, he directed the concerned officers to address their issues on priority. While deliberating on the issue the commandant stressed upon the participating officials and officers to work with zeal and dedication to achieve the common goal of J&K police i.e maintenance of law and order and bringing a peaceful atmosphere for the common masses. He said that measures are being taken for the overall welfare of the jawans and officers. The chairing officer reiterated that all the grievances will be duly looked into and necessary steps will be taken for their timely redressal.
Later in the day, in order to meet the emergent expenses of officers, officials and as a welfare measure, CO IRP XI Bn Anantnag chaired the Battalion Welfare Committee meeting and sanctioned Rs 5 lakh welfare loan in favour of the personnel of the Battalion. Out of the total 20 applications, welfare loans were sanctioned in favour of 12 eligible personnel.
A loan of Rs. 40,000 each was sanctioned in favour of 7 personnel for the treatment of their self /dependents while a loan of Rs. 40,000 each was sanctioned in favour of 2 personnel to meet out the expenses for Higher education of their wards and Rs 40,000 was also sanctioned in favour of 1 person for marriage of his son. In addition to the above, an amount of Rs. 50,000 each was sanctioned in favour of two Class-IV employees for marriage /treatment of their dependents.
The CO expressed satisfaction on the timely disbursal of welfare loans as it helps in meeting certain expenses of Jawans without facing any financial difficulty. He also informed the participants about various welfare measures being taken by the Police Department for the welfare of NoK of cops and said that all Police units are committed to provide all possible assistance to police families.
