CM Yogi thanks PM Modi, praises Union Budget 2026–27
Lucknow, Feb 1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance and decisive leadership behind it. In a statement, the Chief Minister said the budget presents a clear roadmap for a New and Developed India in the world’s largest democracy. He also congratulated Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting the first budget prepared at Kartavya Bhavan.
CM Yogi said the budget reflects the hopes and aspirations of 145 crore Indians, with provisions for capital expenditure of over Rs 12 lakh crore to strengthen infrastructure, including seven rail corridors. He noted the focus on healthcare, development of the AYUSH sector, and special emphasis on women and common citizens.
Appreciating initiatives such as girls’ hostels in every district, establishment of STEM institutions and world-class infrastructure for youth, he said the wide-ranging reforms across sectors would make life easier for ordinary people and create new opportunities for youth, women, farmers and entrepreneurs. Welcoming measures such as GST reforms and the simplification of the Income Tax Act from April, CM Yogi said the budget would help accelerate India’s economic growth and support the country’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
