CM Yogi secures Rs 4,458 crore AISATS investment for Jewar airport in Singapore
New Delhi, Feb 24: In a major boost to Uttar Pradesh’s aviation and logistics ambitions, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath oversaw the signing of a Rs 4,458 crore investment agreement with Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) during his visit to Singapore. The memorandum of understanding, signed between AISATS and the Govt of Uttar Pradesh, will see the company set up two major facilities at Noida International Airport in Jewar, a state-of-the-art cargo campus and a world-class air catering kitchen.
The cargo campus is expected to emerge as a key air freight and logistics hub for North India, supporting export-oriented sectors such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. With Jewar Airport being developed as a multimodal connectivity hub, the project is poised to strengthen the state’s integration into global supply chains.
The proposed air catering facility will supply meals not only to flights operating from Jewar but also to airports across North India, bolstering the region’s food processing and aviation services ecosystem while creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.
The investment marks a significant achievement on the second day of the Chief Minister’s Singapore visit, highlighting his government’s push to position Uttar Pradesh as a preferred destination for global investors and a key driver of economic growth in North India.
