CM Yogi noted a record 52 crore devotees took a holy dip between Jan 13 and Feb 16, crediting uninterrupted river flows as a divine blessing. He likened rivers to Earth’s arteries, warning that pollution and depletion threaten survival.

The government, he said, has planted 210 crore saplings in eight years, banned single-use plastics, promoted electric buses, and revived dying rivers. He emphasized public participation, urging people to reduce plastic use, prevent pollution, and plant trees in honour of their mothers. Religious leaders, ministers, and officials attended the event.
