Lucknow, Jun 10: Marking 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday described the period as an era of historic transformation, people-centric governance, and India’s global resurgence. Addressing the media, CM Yogi said the past decade has seen India emerge as a symbol of faith and strength under PM Modi’s leadership. “Service has become a resolution, governance a culture, and security a priority,” the Chief Minister said, adding that PM Modi has redefined governance as a medium of public service and partnership. Congratulating the Prime Minister on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government and its people, CM Yogi called the last 11 years a "golden era" for the state, enabled by good governance and welfare initiatives.

CM Yogi highlighted the contrast between the post-independence decades and the Modi era, claiming that where earlier governments failed to earn trust, the last 11 years have brought corruption-free and development-focused leadership. “PM Modi has laid the foundation of a self-reliant and developed India while also realising the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’,” he said.

The Chief Minister noted India's rapid economic rise, stating that it has moved from the 11th largest to the fourth largest economy, surpassing both Britain and Japan. He credited the government’s digital, transparent approach, especially through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), for lifting 25 crore people out of multidimensional poverty and building a new middle class.

CM Yogi also drew attention to India’s enhanced global stature and security posture, citing Operation Sindoor, surgical strikes, and the abrogation of Article 370 as examples of assertive action. He said these steps reflect a shift from passive responses to a “New Normal” where any provocation is met with decisive action.

On infrastructure, he underlined the expansion of road networks, metro services, high-speed rail, and airports. He said Uttar Pradesh alone now has 16 operational airports, up from just two in 2017. Projects like the Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail and Vande Bharat trains have redefined travel, he added.

Farmers, too, have seen unprecedented support, CM Yogi said, with over Rs 3.68 lakh crore transferred under PM-KISAN and crop insurance payouts of Rs 1.75 lakh crore. CM Yogi said schemes like PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Mudra loans, and food grain distribution have ensured dignity and basic services to millions. In Uttar Pradesh, 15 crore people benefit from free ration, while 2.65 crore households now have tap water connections. On women’s empowerment, he cited initiatives like Lakhpati Didi Yojana, Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, and the inclusion of women in Sainik Schools and the National Defence Academy. “Ten crore women are part of 90 lakh self-help groups, with a target to make 3 crore women financially independent,” he said. Education and health, too, have seen rapid expansion, he noted, pointing to the establishment of 8 new IITs, 7 IIMs, nearly 500 new universities, and the launch of the National Education Policy.

He said reforms under “Healthy India, Capable India” and Ayushman Bharat have provided health cover to over 50 crore people, with free treatments worth Rs 1.3 lakh crore.. In conclusion, CM Yogi said the 11 years of PM Modi’s government reflect the spirit of the Panch Pran, (five national pledges) and a governance model anchored in development, dignity, and duty. “India has not just changed—it has risen,” he said.
