CM, others attend Nimaz-e-Jinaza of Rashid Ahmed Bandey in Poonch

Poonch, Dec 10: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and cabinet minister Javed Rana among thousands of people from all walks of life attended the last rites and burial of Rashid Ahmed Bandey.

Bandey was the son of Moulana Ghulam Qadir of Poonch, a renowned religious preacher, literary figure, and an educationist.

Bandey suffered from some medical issues and passed away on Monday.

His body was brought to his native town Poonch where his last rites and burial were performed on Tuesday afternoon.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, cabinet minister Javed Rana, and thousands of people drawn from all walks of life and from all areas of J&K attended the last rites and burial and offered condolences to the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Naeem Akhtar expressed condolences to Bandey’s father and brother and prayed for the eternal abode of the deceased and granting forbearance to the bereaved family.
