CM Omar promises compensation for nearby buildings damaged by blast

Jammu, Nov 15: Expressing deep sorrow and grief over the Nowgam Police Station blast, which claimed nine lives and left at least 32 others injured, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said the government would compensate for damages caused to nearby structures by the blast.

CM Omar extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, including those of the Police officers, forensic science lab personnel, revenue department officials, and other associated team members who lost their lives in this incident.

He also prayed for the swift recovery of all the injured.

CM Omar said that the government stands firmly with the families of the victims and would provide every possible support to them.

“The CM has assured that the government stands firmly with the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic Nowgam Police Station explosion and will provide every possible support to them. He has also directed Health Minister Sakina Itoo to ensure the best treatment for the injured and assured that the damaged structures will be duly compensated,” read a post on his official ‘X’ handle.
