CM Omar greets people of J&K, Ladakh on New Year
Srinagar, Dec 31: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday greeted people on the arrival of the New Year 2025.
In his greeting, the CM said, “On this occasion, I convey my heartfelt greetings to the fellow citizens of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. May the spirit of unity guide our efforts in serving the people of J&K.”
He expressed hope that 2025 would not be as eventful for him as the year gone by.
“The year 2024 has been one hell of a year, when it was good it was amazing and when it was bad it really sucked. The year 2025 please go easier on my poor heart,” CM Omar posted on microblogging site X.
He was referring to his mixed electoral fortunes in 2024, which saw him lose the Lok Sabha polls from the Baramulla seat only to bounce back and lead his National Conference (NC) to a win in the Assembly elections.
He went on to become the CM of J&K for the second time.
CM Omar also posted a short clip of a bonfire and extended his good wishes to the people.
“Here’s wishing all of you a happy, peaceful and healthy 2025. May the flames of this bonfire fill your lives with the warmth of love and happiness,” he said.
