“Ask them first - we have been in power for eight months. We cannot construct or repair all roads in J&K in a span of just eight months. They first explain about what we have inherited in legacy (from them). At both the places where we are standing right now, BJP MLAs and MPs have been elected. They have been winning from these areas consecutively for several years. They should tell – what they have done,” the Chief Minister asked, in reply to media persons’ query about BJP legislators’ criticism of the government about dilapidated roads and traffic congestion in Jammu.

He continued, “As far as our status is concerned, after the completion of our five years in power, we will go to the people with our performance report. However, what has happened during the period between 2018-2024? Before pointing fingers at us, they should come out with their performance appraisal report for the last 7-8 years, then they should ask questions to us and we will tell them.”

Giving an update about the health status of Rana’s family, the Chief Minister said, “I’ve just spoken to the doctors. His (late SDM Rana’s) daughter is showing good recovery. His wife, however, underwent surgery to remove some bone fragments and clots. In the next few days, it will come to the fore if she needs another surgery or not. The doctors have assured me that they are getting the best possible desired medicare in the hospital. Whatever further is required from our (government) side for their treatment that will be done.”
