CM Omar calls on Dr Karan Singh, discusses current situation in J&K
Srinagar, June 27: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, today called on Dr. Karan Singh, a distinguished nonagenarian leader and former Sadr-e-Riyasat of the state, at Karan Mahal, Srinagar.
In the meeting, Yuvraj Vikramaditya Singh was also present.
During the meeting, the two leaders held a detailed discussion on the prevailing political and developmental situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah apprised Dr. Karan Singh of the various initiatives being undertaken by the government to ensure peace, stability, and inclusive development in all regions of the Union Territory.
Dr. Karan Singh, who has played a pivotal role in shaping the political history of Jammu and Kashmir, shared his valuable insights and emphasized the importance of dialogue, reconciliation, and responsive governance in addressing the aspirations of the people. He also stressed the need to preserve the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the region while advancing economic and social progress.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and reflected a shared commitment to the welfare and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
