CM must give written clarification on JKAS age-relaxation issue: Sajad Lone

Srinagar, Dec 6: Jammu & Kashmir People’s Conference President Sajad Lone on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the government over the delay in clearing age relaxation for JKAS aspirants, accusing the administration of creating “unnecessary confusion” and failing to issue clear written orders at a crucial time for thousands of candidates.

As per KNS, speaking to reporters, Lone said the government has mishandled the entire process, leaving aspirants uncertain just days before the examination. Criticising the Chief Minister, Lone said key decisions affecting youth cannot be communicated through informal statements.

“The CM’s chair is a responsible position. It cannot be run through press bites and tweets. If the government had cleared age relaxation or taken any decision, it should have been put in writing,” he said.

Lone added that while the CM suggested the delay was from the Lieutenant Governor’s side, the LG’s office clarified through a tweet that the file had already been sent back on December 2. “If both sides are saying different things, where is the written proof?” Lone asked.
