Cloud cover, light rains & snow likely in J&K parts from Apr 8-11: MeT

Srinagar, Apr 04: The Meteorological department today predicted cloudy weather with light rains and snow over few higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir from April 8 onwards.

An official said the ongoing dry weather conditions likely to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir till April 7.

There will be generally cloudy weather towards afternoon, with possibility of light rains and snow in higher reaches over north and central Kashmir towards evening and night of April 8, the official said.

He said similarly on April 9, there will be generally cloudy with light rains and snow (higher reaches) at many places of Kashmir division and scattered places of Jammu division.

He also said that from April 10-11, the weather will likely remain generally cloud with light rains and snow over higher reaches at scattered places of J&K.

Afterwards, the weather will likely remain dry from April 12-15, the official held.

The MeT advised travelers, tourists and transporters to follow advisories from administration and traffic department to avoid any inconvenience. It also advised farmers to continue farm operations.
