Climate awareness program held in Uri

Uri, Sep 13: Uri Foundation, a local NGO in collaboration with the Youth for Climate Resilience Network (YCRN) organised a Climate Week Celebration awareness program on Saturday at Army Goodwill School (AGS) Uri.

The event was graced by special guest Lt Col Abhishek Pal, Education Secretary at AGS Uri, along with Principal Mrs Baljeet Kour and officials from the forest department.

Key speakers included Syed Imran Shah (Forest Guard), Irfan Majid (Teacher, GGHSS Uri), and Hilal Ahmad (Teacher, AGS Uri). They emphasised the importance of civic and environmental education, urging youth and local communities to adopt sustainable practices in daily life.
