Class 11th exam as per schedule today in soft zone areas

Srinagar Feb 28: The class 11th examination in soft zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir will be held as per schedule today, an official of JK Board said.

The official said that there was no paper scheduled in hard zone areas and the examination of class 11th students in the soft zone will be held as per schedule.

"At this moment it won't be a good decision to postpone the exam as the information cannot reach all the centres. So we decided to conduct the exam as per schedule," the JK Board official said.

He however said that any student who cannot reach the exam centre today in view of the snowfall will be accommodated in the next few days during exams of hard zone areas.

"No student will suffer. If any student will miss the exam today. He will be allowed to write the exams when the exam of the same paper will be conducted in hard zones," the official said.

As per the datesheet, the JK Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has scheduled an exam of Computer Science, Physical Education, Vedic Studies, Environmental science, Vedic Studies, Buddhist studies, Food Technology, Electronics , Hotel management and other few subjects in soft zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir today.

However, the examination of these subjects is scheduled on March 3 and  the examination of some of these subjects is scheduled on March 3 of 2025 in Hard zone areas of J&K.

"If any student from soft zone areas will miss the exam today due to snowfall, we will accommodate him and they will be allowed to write the exam of this subject with students from hard zone," the official said.
