Jammu, Jan 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday said that the result of the 10th standard would be declared soon after the appointment of the board chairman.

The statement comes amid uncertainty over the declaration of the results by JKBOSE.

In an official statement issued here, JKBOSE advised students not to pay heed to fake links and websites announcing the declaration of class 10th results.

“Result of class 10th will be declared within a few days, soon after the appointment of the new Chairman,” the statement reads.

The JKBOSE said that the results of the annual examination of class 10th of Kashmir and winter zone areas of Jammu division are almost ready.

“But its approval by the Result Declaration Committee headed by JKBOSE Chairman is a prerequisite before its declaration. In the absence of the Chairman, the results are likely to get a little delayed,” it reads.

The JKBOSE officials have advised the students to wait for the formal declaration on its official website www.jkbose.nic.in.

“Students should not get misled by scamsters and fake narratives circulated by some mischievous elements, whose sole aim is to create confusion in the innocent student community,” the statement said.

Greater Kashmir earlier reported that there was no clarity in the announcement of results amid delay in appointment of JKBOSE chairman.

JKBOSE had announced a 15 percent relaxation for students in class 10th, 11th, and 12th annual examinations, in view of the disruptions faced by the students during the academic session.

As per the official figures, 94,783 students – 68,804 from Kashmir and 25,224 from winter zone areas of Jammu division, besides 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh district registered for the class 10th JKBOSE examination this year.

Also, the examination for class 11th and 12th students was scheduled from November 19 and November 8, 2025.

Approximately, 81,622 students – 64,001 from Jammu and 17,621 from winter zone areas of Jammu registered for class 11th examination, while 70,117 students – 56,423 from Kashmir and 13,694 from winter zone areas of Jammu registered for class 12th examination.
