Class 10th BOSE exams today
Srinagar, Mar 10: The class 10th annual regular (2024) examinations will commence on March 11, Monday, across all the soft zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
The examination would be conducted by the J&K Board of School Education (BOSE).
As per the official data, around 1,37,418 students – 77,916 in Jammu and 59,502 in Kashmir have registered for the examination for which J&K Board has set up 818 examination centres in government and private schools across Kashmir.
As per the official data, in the soft zones of Jammu division, 51,892 students – 26,621 boys and 25,271 girls from government schools while 25,937 students – 15,007 boys and 10,930 girls from private schools have registered for the examination.
In the soft zones of Kashmir division, 37,146 students – 18,060 boys and 19,086 girls from government schools while 22,246 students – 11,552 boys and 10,694 girls from private schools have also registered for the class 10th examination.
Also, 87 specially-abled students – 55 boys and 32 girls from Jammu while 110 Children with Special Needs (CWSN) – 62 boys and 48 girls from Kashmir have registered for the examination.
The BOSE has also set up 818 examination centres – 372 in Jammu and 446 in Kashmir for the students appearing in the exam. A BOSE official said that the heads of the institutions have been asked to ensure adequate arrangements in the examination halls.
Notably, the class 10th examination was earlier scheduled for March 7.
However, the examination of vocational subjects was postponed.
While the class 10th examination would commence from Monday in soft zones of J&K, the class 12th examination already commenced from March 6, and the examination for class 11th students is scheduled from March 30.
The BOSE has also notified the date sheet for hard zones as well.
As per the schedule, the class 10th examination in hard zones would commence on April 4 and culminate on May 6.
Similarly, the examination of class 11th students in hard zone areas would commence on April 12 and culminate on May 16.
The examination of class 12th students would commence on April 8 and culminate on May 11.
