CJ forms benches to hear election petitions, tender matters
Srinagar, Jun 3: Chief Justice (CJ) of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Tuesday constituted appropriate benches for hearing of election petitions and matters related to tenders pending disposal before its Jammu wing.
According to an order issued by Court’s Registrar Judicial Jammu wing, Sandeep Kaur, the benches have been constituted in view to ensure speedy disposal of matters.
Among others bench of Chief Justice Arun Palli shall hear matters pertaining to election which includes pleas filed in the year 2009 by Khalid Najib Suharwardy, Zaffar Ullah, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Kamal Verma, Balwant Singh. Similarly, matters related to contracts have been assigned to Justice Muhammad Akram Chowdhary, Justice Rahul Bharti, Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Justice Rajesh Sekhri, Justice Muhammad Yousuf Wanni, according to the order.
