CII J&K delegation meets Dir Horticulture to strengthen sector ties

Srinagar, Jun 11: A delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jammu and Kashmir today met Vikas Anand, the newly appointed Director of Horticulture Kashmir, in a courtesy visit aimed at exploring avenues for collaboration in the horticulture and food processing sectors.

Led by Iqram Ali Shafiee, Vice Chairman of CII J\&K, and Izhan Javed, Convener of the Horticulture and Food Processing Panel, the delegation also included Ufair Ajaz, Dawar Mir, Faiz Turey, and Khurshid Dar, Head of CII J\&K.

The delegation congratulated Anand on his appointment and conveyed CII’s keen interest in working closely with the department to boost horticultural productivity, post-harvest management, and market linkages in Kashmir.

Director Anand welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed his department’s commitment to fostering strong partnerships with industry stakeholders. He underscored the potential for collaborative efforts to bring innovation, investment, and sustainable growth to the region’s horticulture sector.
