Chugh accuses Kejriwal of misusing Punjab for Rajya Sabha seat plans
Chandigarh, June 5: BJP National General Secretary TarunChugh has levelled allegations against AamAadmi Party (AAP) convener ArvindKejriwal, accusing him of attempting to enter the Rajya Sabha from Punjab and thereby weakening the state's political autonomy.
According to Chugh, the move is part of a broader strategy by AAP to sideline Punjab’s leadership and centralise control in the hands of its Delhi-based command.
Chugh claimed that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been reduced to a figurehead, with key decisions increasingly dictated by Kejriwal’s team in Delhi. Chugh has also flagged concerns about Kejriwal’s legal troubles in connection with alleged corruption cases, warning that leaders facing serious allegations are being projected into national roles through backdoor channels.
