Jammu, Dec 24: Churches across Jammu and Kashmir are all decked up for Christmas celebrations while the tourist destinations of Gulmarg and Pahalgam are all booked as a huge number of tourists are flocking to Kashmir to celebrate Christmas.

All the churches in Kashmir were illuminated on Christmas Eve while Srinagar and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir as set to celebrate Christmas with zest and gaiety.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha greeted the people on Christmas Eve.

In a message, the LG said, “On the joyous occasion of Christmas, I extend my greetings to all, especially the Christian brothers and sisters. The sacred festival of Christmas, which celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, is a special occasion to spread joy and happiness and to follow his ideals of love, service, self-sacrifice, compassion, and forgiveness. May the Christmas this year usher in peace, happiness, and joy for all.”
