Christmas celebrated with religious fervour, gaiety in Ramban, Batote
Ramban, Dec 25: Christmas was celebrated today with religious fervour and gaiety by the Christian community in Ramban and Batote.
Special prayers were held at the Ebenezer Church in Batote and Goshen, Church, in Maitra Ramban.
At the Ebenezer Church Batote and 52 RCC Campus Batote the Christmas functions were organised under the supervision of Pastor James Messiah and at Goshen Church, in Maitra Ramban, a function was organised under the supervision of Pastor Saraphen Sunny.
Prayers were also offered for welfare, peace and prosperity for Bharat and Jammu and Kashmir. In both the churches, the programmes began with recitation of verses from the holy book Bible and sermons delivered by the Pastors.
In these functions scores of Christians hailing from Batote, Ramban, and surrounding areas participated.
The songs and skits in praise of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ were presented by a group of youth and children.
The Santa Clause guised person danced with the children and distributed candies and toffees among them.
In both, the Church's gifts were also presented to children performing songs and dances besides some devotees were also felicitated for their distinguished services.
