Ch Zulfkar Ali calls on Home Minister Amit Shah

Rajouri, Aug 17: Former Cabinet Minister and Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali, today met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

Reports said that Zulfikar is set to join Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Jammu on Sunday.

A joining programme of party will be organised at its Jammu office on Sunday in which Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali alongwith his supporters join the party.

Making an official announcement, the BJP unit of Jammu and Kashmir has informed about this joining event. Confirming this political development ahead of assembly elections, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said that he will join BJP alongwith hundreds of his supporters on Sunday.

"I can only say this much at this point of time and it is true that I am joining BJP," Zulfikar said.

Zulfkar i, a two times MLA, represented Darhal - Kotranka assembly constituency constituency from 2008 onwards after registering win on PDP mandate.

He however joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party in 2020 and is presently Vice President of party.
