CGS Sachet makes port call in Mozambique
New Delhi, Oct 11: Indian Coast Guard Ship Sachet, an Offshore Patrol Vessel, arrived at Maputo, Mozambique, on October 11, 2025, as part of its ongoing overseas deployment to Africa, reaffirming India’s commitment to maritime cooperation under the vision of SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region).
As part of India’s humanitarian outreach, Sachet is carrying 20 metric tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) material, including medicines and medical supplies, to support Mozambique’s public health and disaster management efforts.
During its stay, the ship’s crew will hold professional exchanges with Mozambican maritime agencies on Marine Pollution Response, Search and Rescue, and Maritime Law Enforcement, alongside training exercises and friendly sporting and cultural engagements.
