CGC Jhanjeri becomes CGC University Mohali

Chandigarh, Aug 20: Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri, officially transitioned to CGC University, Mohali, marking a transformative step in its 25-year legacy. The announcement was made at a press conference held at JW Marriott, Chandigarh, highlighting the university’s focus on tech-driven, industry-integrated education.

A statement issued here said that CGC University, Mohali aims to become India’s hub for AI-led innovation and digital learning. Its curriculum emphasises practical industry exposure, certifications co-developed with corporates, and a 50:50 learning model where faculty and industry experts share equal responsibility in shaping student outcomes. The university seeks to prepare students not just for jobs but for leadership in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

Arsh Dhaliwal outlined the vision for industry-integrated learning, including internships with stipends up to Rs. 1 lakh. Dr. Prashar highlighted the hands-on 50:50 teaching model, blending faculty-led instruction with real-world industry guidance.
